motorcycle lift | How to prepare your motorcycle for winter storage using the motorcycle lift

The cooler weather means another riding season in the northern region is coming to an end, and now it's time to consider proper winter storage for your motorcycle. Whether you're hanging up your gear for weeks or months, taking care of some basic needs now, such as buying a motorcycle lift, will make it easier for your motorcycle to ride again in the spring. It will also help ensure trouble-free riding for years to come.

Clean and service
For proper winter storage, place the motorcycle on a motorcycle lift and wash and wax it thoroughly. Follow up with any maintenance outlined in the user manual. With a motorcycle jack, all maintenance is a breeze. Lubricate the cables and check the tires for wear and proper inflation. If your tire needs to be changed, replace it now to avoid wasting riding time in the spring. Your motorcycle jack allows you to remove the front, rear or twin wheels without losing stability!

Replace the oil
Even if your bike doesn't stay for long, change the oil! Dirty oil contains contaminants that can and can increase corrosion, leading to premature engine wear. Changing the oil is simple: when your motorcycle is on a motorcycle lift, start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to get everything up to working. Yes, you can run your bike on a motorcycle lift! Then, using the drain adapter, drain the old oil and refill it with fresh oil. Be sure to rekindle the bike to distribute fresh oil throughout the system.
